Welcome to Norfolk Open Water Swimming

Competitive open water swimming is growing in popularity both as a new Olympic sport and as a discipline within triathlon.  Norfolk Open Water Swimming was established by coaches from the Norwich Swan Swim Club and the City of Norwich Triathlon Club to provide structured coaching sessions for swimmers, from age 10 upwards, to develop for open water competition.

Our sessions are held at Whitlingham Lake on the edge of Norwich - where we coach a full range of techniques specific to open water.  Our sessions are supported by the ASA and Active Norfolk. 

Open water swimming is also becoming popular as an outdoor leisure activity.  If you are looking for opportunities to try outdoor swimming without attending a structured coaching session then contact the new Outdoor Swim Centre at Fritton Lake where swimmers can enjoy the challenges of open water swimming under the supervision and guidance of expert instructors.
